1:14 there was an enemy out there in the

1:16 promised land there were enemies the

1:17 same 40 years ago remember they saw Anna

1:20 came down there they were still there

1:22 the same enemies were still there if

1:24 anything they are more established now

1:25 more entrenched

1:27 in their fortified strongholds

1:30 and we know the walls of Jericho are

1:31 thick

1:33 so the enemy is there

1:35 the hurdles

1:37 what seems insurmountable hurdle even

1:40 more so at that time at that season

1:42 because the River Jordan

1:44 is now overflowing its banks during the

1:47 time of harvest

1:48 talk about the time to to cross is the

1:51 worst of times to cross the River Jordan

1:53 so you have a natural obstacle

1:56 but you know something whatever is in

1:58 front of you whatever obstacle whatever

2:00 enemy you are not to be engrossed

2:02 With the Enemy Joshua you're to be

2:05 occupied with my word

2:07 what an instruction to a leader from the

2:10 very start don't be occupied With the

2:12 Enemy don't be occupied with the

2:14 troubles and the obstacles be occupied

2:16 with my word and you will make your way

2:18 prosperous and you will have good

2:21 success

2:23 amen you know there is a law I think

2:26 it's in Deuteronomy that says that when

2:28 a king

2:29 ascends the throne his father passed on

2:32 or whatever he sends a throne the very

2:34 first thing he must do is with his own

2:36 hand right the law the book of the law

2:38 which is the first five books of Moses

2:40 you need to write it

2:41 with his own hand that he may learn to

2:44 fear the lord all the days of his life

2:45 listen

2:46 that's number one that he may fear the

2:49 lord that he may humble himself and not

2:51 lift up himself above his Brethren his
