"Stay with him a few days, until your brother's fury subsides,
Come, my people, enter into your rooms And close your doors behind you; Hide for a little while Until indignation runs its course.
"But now for a brief moment grace has been shown from the LORD our God, to leave us an escaped remnant and to give us a peg in His holy place, that our God may enlighten our eyes and grant us a little reviving in our bondage.
"But there are many people; it is the rainy season and we are not able to stand in the open. Nor can the task be done in one or two days, for we have transgressed greatly in this matter.
He spoke in the presence of his brothers and the wealthy men of Samaria and said, "What are these feeble Jews doing? Are they going to restore it for themselves? Can they offer sacrifices? Can they finish in a day? Can they revive the stones from the dusty rubble even the burned ones?"
And the light of Israel will become a fire and his Holy One a flame, And it will burn and devour his thorns and his briars in a single day.
So the LORD cuts off head and tail from Israel, Both palm branch and bulrush in a single day.
"In a time of tranquility he will enter the richest parts of the realm, and he will accomplish what his fathers never did, nor his ancestors; he will distribute plunder, booty and possessions among them, and he will devise his schemes against strongholds, but only for a time.
"Then in his place one will arise who will send an oppressor through the Jewel of his kingdom; yet within a few days he will be shattered, though not in anger nor in battle.
And he led Him up and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.
So they were saying, "What is this that He says, 'A little while'? We do not know what He is talking about."
for John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now."

2 Corinthians 7:8
For though I caused you sorrow by my letter, I do not regret it; though I did regret it--for I see that that letter caused you sorrow, though only for a while--
But we did not yield in subjection to them for even an hour, so that the truth of the gospel would remain with you.
"For this reason in one day her plagues will come, pestilence and mourning and famine, and she will be burned up with fire; for the Lord God who judges her is strong.
standing at a distance because of the fear of her torment, saying, 'Woe, woe, the great city, Babylon, the strong city! For in one hour your judgment has come.'
for in one hour such great wealth has been laid waste!' And every shipmaster and every passenger and sailor, and as many as make their living by the sea, stood at a distance,
"And they threw dust on their heads and were crying out, weeping and mourning, saying, 'Woe, woe, the great city, in which all who had ships at sea became rich by her wealth, for in one hour she has been laid waste!'
For they disciplined us for a short time as seemed best to them, but He disciplines us for our good, so that we may share His holiness.
and they are seven kings; five have fallen, one is, the other has not yet come; and when he comes, he must remain a little while.
