Fully Forgiven

The Finished Work

Six hours on that cross, but he cried, “Finished!” Amen!

Now, how do you know it's finished? Because he cried, “Finished,” right? Yes! But then, they brought his body down.

By the way, he did not die until he chose to die.

"He dismissed his spirit." - The Gospel of Matthew

In Greek, it's like a king dismissing his subjects: "Go. Do as I have bidden you."

Burial and Resurrection

They buried him. Now, listen— they buried him.

"If Christ is not risen, your faith is in vain. You are still in your sins."

When he cried, “Finished,” the veil in the temple was torn in two— from top to bottom!

Access to the holiest of all is now open! Amen!

The High Priest and Atonement

On the Day of Yom Kippur, the high priest entered the Holy of Holies with the blood of bulls.

How did Israel know their sins were forgiven? When the high priest came out!

Likewise, when Jesus rose from the dead, it meant that God had accepted the sacrifice.

Our sins are forgiven! Can I get a good Amen?
