A newly formed power company to develop a wood pellet project and also generate electricity using sustainably grown wood (Gamal /Gliricidia sp) in the host island, Flores. East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia.
Besides our acquisition of 1,500 hectares of degraded land that we already start planting in 2015, many discussions made with villagers and local government as our milestones so far.
Afforestation is the establishment of a forest or stands of trees in an area where there was no previous tree cover. Many government and non-governmental organizations directly engage in programs of afforestation to create forests, increase carbon capture. In today’s world, the rate at which trees grow naturally in forests is much slower than the rate at which trees in forests are being cut down for production. The increased demand for tree products has put pressure on forests resulting in deforestation. Afforestation is helping alleviate the pressure on natural forests by providing an alternative source of tree products. It is mostly done for commercial purposes. Creating new forests also provide the community with fodder, fruits, firewood, and other valuable resources necessary for humans. In addition to making the resources available, afforestation also ensures that the resources are sustainable for the future.

Looking for investor in regenerative agriculture
The project activity will supply Gamal wood for biomass power plant and hence replaces the equal amount of power which would have otherwise been generated by grid-connected carbon-intensive power plants. The 5 MW project activity is planned to be commissioned in three phases- 1.5 MW (phase I), 1.5 MW (phase II), and 2 MW (Phase III).
Initial equity investment has been committed from a philanthropy foundation and a feasibility study has been completed. The strategic location for sustainably grown wood (Gamal/Gliricidia sp) of 1,500 hectares of degraded land has been secured.
The next steps are inviting investors and sell 49% of company shares.
The start of operation is estimated for Q3 2021.

We plan to carry out a very impactful climate project. Our sites in the Gunung Mute village, Flores, East Nusa Tenggara, which now say goodbye to diesel. Instead, we will rely on biomass power plant to provide clean energy in the future. This biomass power plant will create opportunities in agriculture industry. Beside selling feedstock to our plant, the villagers are allowed to plant other horticulture products in our 1,500 hectares land, we will be the guiding partners to them.
The core concept behind greener generation is that investments are made broader, longer-term, and big changes that affect future rural impacts.
Currently, we have enough existing feedstock plants for 3 years for biomass power plant fuel consumption.
We share the seeds, lend them equipment and technology to be used by the growers.
Every hour 6 tons of wood chips are needed for 3 MW Biomass Power generation, it means 144 ton per day. We buy Rp. 200 per kG, it will be IDR 864 million each month, a handsome reward for villagers co-op.
Our agroforestry projects will be run by local grower who are registered as our member.
We are looking for financial support to make the transition to regenerative agroforestry possible.
